Anti-Corruption & Bribery Policy
MD Scaffolding Limited (MDS) are committed to conducting all business activities in an honest, transparent, and ethical manner. We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and will act professionally, fairly, and with integrity in all dealings and relationships. The Company will uphold all relevant laws, including the Bribery Act 2010, and will maintain effective systems to prevent and detect bribery.
Bribery and corruption are serious criminal offences that can result in imprisonment, unlimited fines, and severe reputational damage. We therefore take our legal and moral responsibilities extremely seriously.
This policy applies to all employees, labour-only subcontractors, agency staff, suppliers, consultants, and anyone acting on behalf of the Company. Everyone must comply with this policy and avoid any activity that could lead to, or appear to lead to, a breach.
Our commitment
-
We will not offer, give, solicit, or accept bribes or improper payments in any form.
-
We will ensure all charitable donations, sponsorships, gifts, and hospitality are transparent, proportionate, and approved where required.
-
We will maintain accurate records and documentation to demonstrate compliance.
-
We will encourage the reporting of any suspected bribery or corruption and will support those who raise concerns in good faith.

Responsibilities
Company Directors hold overall responsibility for implementing this policy and ensuring compliance. Managers must promote understanding and integrity among their teams. All staff have an individual duty to act honestly and report any suspected malpractice immediately to a Director.
Reporting & Protection
Concerns or suspicions of bribery, corruption, or unethical behaviour must be reported at the earliest opportunity. The Company promotes a ‘speak-up’ culture and will not tolerate victimisation of anyone who raises a genuine concern.
Monitoring & Review
This policy forms part of our wider commitment to ethical conduct and compliance.
The Directors of MD Developments are fully committed to the principles and application of this Policy. We will provide the leadership, resources and oversight needed to ensure it is embedded in all aspects of our operations.
The Policy will be formally reviewed at least annually, or sooner if required by legislation, industry best practice, or organisational learning. All employees are briefed on the Policy at induction and whenever significant updates are made and are expected to acknowledge and uphold its requirements.
